Major Advising in Summer or Winter
CJBS Major Advising in the Summer/Winter terms
The CJBS Coordinator and other CJBS Advisement staff are available for Major Advising ONLINE in the Summer & Winter sessions. First, please check out the CJBS Advisement Youtube. Next, you can email the CJBS Coordinator if you have any questions or need assistance with your CJBS Major courses or electives. The major advisor for the 2015-2016 academic year is Professor Chris Herrmann (cherrmann@jjay.cuny.edu).
Please remember that for basic questions about progress in the CJBS major, you can download and fill out the CJBS Major Worksheet and go over it with a general academic advisor as you discuss your overall progress towards degree. As an important heads-up, general academic advisors are often unavailable to continuing students for advising during much of the Winter term (month of January), since they need to meet with many incoming transfer students during that time. General academic advisors may be more available during the summer months, though during that time they are meeting with large numbers of incoming freshmen as well as new transfers getting registered for the Fall term.
