Readmission
Graduate students who have not registered for one or more semesters must apply for readmission before they can continue their degree program.
- Students in good academic standing (with GPAs of 3.0 or above) when last in attendance will be automatically readmitted following submission of the online readmission application.
- Students not in good academic standing (with GPAs below 3.0) when last in attendance must submit the online readmission application that includes a written statement to the Office of Graduate Studies. Readmission is not assured. Students are encouraged to speak with their program director or advisor prior to applying for readmission.
- Students who have passed the eight-year time limit to complete their degrees — even those in good academic standing — must complete the online readmission application and include a written statement to the Office of Graduate Studies. Readmission will be permitted if the dean determines that compelling circumstances warrant an exception to the policy. Note: Credits earned more than eight years prior to first matriculating in the program will not be counted toward the degree unless approved by the graduate program.
Readmitted students shall be subject to changes in curricular requirements instituted since their last term of attendance unless waived by the program director.
