Applications for financial aid must be filed each year. Students will receive a confirmation notice when their application is processed. If there is a problem with inconsistent or insufficient data, such as Social Security number, citizenship or Immigration and Naturalization status, the student will be notified by a separate communication and “to-do list” items on their CUNYfirst Student Center. Students can inquiry at Jay Express Services and submit any requested documentation through the Financial Aid Office’s online platforms. If a student is selected for a process called verification, a similar communication will be sent and proof of income must be furnished and a verification worksheet must be completed. Students must comply with any request of documentation in order to complete the verification process by submitting requested items through the Financial Aid Office’s online platforms.
