Program Specific Requirements


Undergraduate statistics is a prerequisite for all applicants to the following graduate programs: 

  • Criminal Justice, Master of Arts
  • Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity, Master of Science
  • Economics, Master of Arts
  • Forensic Mental Health Counseling, Master of Arts
  • Forensic Psychology, Master of Arts
  • Forensic Psychology and Law, MA/JD (CUNY)
  • Forensic Psychology and Law, MA/JD (NYLS)
  • Forensic Science, Master of Science
  • International Crime and Justice, Master of Arts
  • Law and Public Accountability, MPA/JD
  • Master of Public Administration: Inspection and Oversight
  • Master of Public Administration: Public Policy and Administration
  • Public Policy and Protection Management, MPA/MS

If an applicant does not have this prerequisite, they may be admitted conditionally and must fulfill this requirement within the time frame specified by the program to which they are admitted. Completion of an equivalent course at another institution approved by the Committee on Graduate Admissions, or demonstrating proficiency through a qualifying examination, are other options to fulfilling this prerequisite. No graduate credit is given for meeting or completing this requirement.

Undergraduate statistics is not a prerequisite for applicants to the following graduate programs: 

  • Emergency Management, Master of Science
  • Protection Management, Master of Science
  • Security Management, Master of Science
