ISP 277 Experiential Learning in Social Justice: Field Preparation

This pre-internship course prepares students for social justice field experience in research, practice, or policy. Students apply theory to practice through an inter-disciplinary lens. Students learn to employ race, gender and class theory to analyze and address .social justice issues identified in the field. The course is a synthesis of the students' classwork, mentoring by professionals in residence, and guided curricular and co-curricular experiences, reflecting a dual focus on exposing students to academic and professional development.
