Criminal Justice, Master of Arts
A minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher ("B") and completion of an undergraduate statistics course with a grade of B or better are required.
An applicant who has not earned a B or better in undergraduate statistics, but who meets all other admissions requirements, may be accepted on the condition that they earn a B or better in an undergraduate statistics course, or an equivalent undergraduate course approved by the program director, prior to enrolling in CRJ 715 and within one year of entering the program.
If you are applying to the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice program, please note that the Graduate Admissions Committee for this program seeks students whose record of performance at the undergraduate level and whose writing skills indicate they are likely to do well in graduate school. While the Committee understands that a variety of factors can influence undergraduate grades, applicants with a grade point average below 3.0 are rarely accepted. However, applicants with GPAs above 3.0 should not assume that they will automatically be admitted.
