Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation’s German Chancellor Fellowship Program
Fellows spend one year in Germany where they will meet with other young leaders from around the world and undertake independent projects at host institutions. Fellows will receive living stipends, intensive language courses, and seminars. Annual John Jay College-Rubin Museum Writing Competition
The Rubin Museum of Art sponsors an annual writing competition with cash prizes awarded to those who write the top submissions. Any John Jay undergraduate student in good standing may participate in this contest. Essays are due in the Spring.

Assistance of up to $30,000 to graduate students for study or research in an area of the world that is critical to United States national security interests. Critical Language Scholarship Program
Full scholarship and transportation to and from a foreign country to study a critical language at a summer language institute. This program is sponsored by the United States Department. Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowship
Hertz fellows receive full tuition scholarship and a living stipend to pursue a Ph.D. in the applied physical, biological and engineering sciences. This includes applied mathematics, statistics and the quantitative aspects of modern biology. Humanity in Action Fellowship
Humanity in Action fellows participate in an annual month-long human rights fellowship program held each summer in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris or Warsaw. This fellowship is for individuals who are seeking to enter the United States Department of State Foreign Service.
