MAT 105 College Algebra (was Modern Math)

This course examines the basic assumptions underlying the fundamental concepts of algebra and the role of mathematics in the analysis and interpretation of algebraic and graphical problems. Topics include a review of the fundamentals of algebra, equations and inequalities, functions and relations, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, systems of equations and inequalities, and miscellaneous topics. This course prepares students for the study of pre-calculus and develops their mathematical maturity.
Prerequisite
Placement into MAT 105 based on high school preparation
