MAT 152 Calculus II

This course, the second in the calculus sequence, continues the investigation of integral calculus, along with sequences, infinite series and an introduction to parametric equations. Subjects studied include area between curves, disk and washer methods for computing volumes, techniques of integration, improper integrals, arc length. Calculus on parametric equations, polar coordinates, sequences, infinite series, Taylor series and representation of a function as a power series.

This course satisfies the Required Core: Math and Quantitative Reasoning area of the Gen Ed Program.

This course is part of a new, three-course calculus sequence that has superseded the old, four-course sequence that consisted of MAT 241 Calculus I, MAT 242 Calculus II, MAT 243 Calculus III, and MAT 244 Calculus IV.
