ePermit Students
ePermit
All graduate students who wish to take courses at another CUNY institution must apply using the ePermit system in CUNYfirst. (CUNYfirst Menu > Student Center > Academics > ePermit).
ePermit Out
John Jay College graduate students must have a 3.0 GPA, be matriculated at the college, and obtain approval from their Graduate Program Director before submitting the ePermit request. Once approved, the request is routed through CUNYfirst to the receiving institution for review and processing.
Courses completed under an approved ePermit are credited toward the degree upon satisfactory completion. The course credits and grades earned at the host CUNY institution are computed in the student’s grade point average (GPA) at John Jay College.
CUNY Students Taking Courses at John Jay College (ePermit in)
Graduate students enrolled in programs at other CUNY colleges who wish to register for courses at John Jay College must complete the ePermit application through their home college in CUNYfirst and obtain all required approvals from their home institution.
Once the approved ePermit is received by John Jay College through the CUNYfirst system, visiting graduate students must also complete the John Jay College Graduate Studies ePermit Form (GS Permit).
Registration at John Jay College will be permitted once both the home college ePermit and the John Jay GS Permit are approved.
