SPA 331 Latin-American Literature I

This course traces the development of Latin American literature to 1900 including the historical, political, economic, and social contexts in which literary works were produced. Major literary movements are presented through selected readings of representative authors and genres.  Issues of gender, race, ethnicity, and class, among others will be explored. The course is taught in Spanish.
