SPA 333 Interpreting II

This is an intermediate course designed to develop interpreting proficiency in consecutive and simultaneous interpreting. It offers intensive hands-on practice in a variety of settings (conference, medical, technical, business). Advanced interpreting techniques are developed, including memory, note-taking, simultaneous practice, and analysis and assessment of interpreting performance.  When pertinent, issues of gender, race, ethnicity, and class, among others, will be explored.
